HON SEC URGENTLY REQUIRED -

When the CFSA needed a non-serving member to take on the duties of Hon Sec a few years ago, Lt Cdr Adrian “Fingers” Hands gallantly volunteered, and has done an excellent job in turbulent circumstances since then. However, ever increasing pressure of work at his day job has now forced him to resign as Hon Sec with immediate effect. The Hon Sec’s duties mainly involve the organisation and administration of the annual reunion and AGM, planned this year for 20 October. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to take over this role? For further details, or to discuss whether you might be able to help in some way, please contact me. Gavin Mackay

Message from the President -

Pending the appointment of a new Hon Sec, I will take on the arrangements for this year’s reunion, planned to coincide with a CFS Graduation dinner on 20 October. Details for the afternoon’s events are still to be decided/confirmed, but - with time passing, and a foreign holiday imminent - I thought I should not delay publishing the minutes (CLICK HERE) of last year’s AGM, together with a reply pro forma for the dinner. As will be the case for the foreseeable future, I cannot offer on-base accommodation, but I can promise free transport from a couple of local hotels if required, together with a good York House Mess Dinner and a barrel of beer behind the bar for £20 all in.

You will also note from the minutes the request for any CFSA cummerbunds which you may have no further use for (I have certainly found that mine seems to have shrunk alarmingly over the past 30 years..) All contributions gratefully received. Finally, please see some last-chance bargains in CFSA-branded garments. (CLICK HERE)
