Aim of the Association -
The CFSA was formed in 1951 to foster the spirit
Aim of the Web Site - As well as supporting the administration of the Association, the web site tells the story of the Central Flying School from the birth of military aviation in 1912 through to the School's contribution to the Royal Air Force of today. As part of its heritage, the Central Flying School maintains many portraits and silver trophies. They are included on the site as a record, and to provide access to more than the few who attend the graduation and reunion dinners.- This year’s CFSA Reunion will revert to a date in Summer, namely 23 July 2015. This coincides with RAFC Cranwell’s Families’ Day, and so the Red Arrows will be displaying for us (and the rest of Cranwell!) at 1100 hrs, together with various other flying activities going on during the day.
Comdt CFS has also rescheduled one of the two the CFS Graduations for 2015 specifically to match our requirements, so that we will be able to join with the Graduation Dinner in York House Officers’ Mess that same evening.
We are enormously grateful to Group Captain Jamie Hunter for going out of his way to make these arrangements on our behalf, and I would urge everyone to support him and your Association by making a special effort to attend what should be a first class “old style” Reunion. Please pass the word – and the date – to any CFSA member who may not be an avid follower of the internet.
Further details and applications to attend will be published in due course on this website. Accommodation on base is becoming increasingly difficult, but we will offer suitable solutions.
