Aim of the Association

The CFSA was formed in 1951 to foster the spirit of friendship among members of the Association and the serving staff of the Central Flying School.

Aim of the Web Site

As well as supporting the administration of the Association, the web site tells the story of the Central Flying School from the birth of military aviation in 1912 through to the School's contribution to the Royal Air Force of today. As part of its heritage, the Central Flying School maintains many portraits and silver trophies. They are included on the site as a record, and to provide access to more than the few who attend the graduation and reunion dinners.

Centenary Plaque Update From Simon Bostock Those who contributed £30 or more to the appeal for the Centenary Plaque, which the Association presented to CFS, were to receive a commemorative medallion. I am pleased to report that a limited edition of 75 copies has been produced and have been sent to those entitled. They are pewter coloured with the CFS badge and inscription in relief and the copy number on the reverse.

2012 Reunion Photos are available from the menu.

New feature - No 254 - 320 Fixed Wing Course Photographs (1970-85). More to follow.
